manufacture and distribution of quality control devices for medical
imaging and radiation therapy, including laser alignment systems.
GAMMEX Inc. was incorporated in 1969 to manufacture
laser-based patient alignment devices, Gammex later acquired Radiation
Measurements Inc. (RMI) in 1987. The combined talents and
resources of GAMMEX Inc. expanded quality control offerings to include
ultrasound, diagnostic radiology, and mammography. For
over 34 years, Gammex Inc. has set the pace in global leadership for
quality control programs in diagnostic imaging and radiation oncology.
Currently, two of its phantoms are used as accreditation standards for
CT and mammography programs.
