[Middleton, WI] - Gammex announced that it has entered into an agreement to
sell the VERILUM video display Quality Assurance software package that has
been developed by ImageSmith, Inc. Continuing in its extension of offering
state-of-the-art products for medical imaging Quality Assurance and
radiation therapy alignment, the product will address the needs of medical
imaging departments to assure themselves of the continued performance of
their high resolution video monitors.
The product can be used with either black and white or color monitors and
with either CRT or LCD technologies. It allows calibration luminance to
conform with DICOM Part 14 Grayscale Standard Display Function requirements
and allows the display of both bitmaps and DICOM images. Testing can be
performed for luminance uniformity, geometric linearity and focus.
The luminance pod that is provided is available for either Serial port or
USB connections.
It can be taken from PC to PC and used without paying additional license
fees.
The software runs on systems using Microsoft® Windows 98, NT v. 4.0, 2000
and XP Operating Systems.
